About

I was born in Ōtautahi/Christchurch in Aotearoa/New Zealand in 1964. My Māori whakapapa is Ngāti Raukawa (south) - Ngāti Wehi Wehi and Te Arawa- Ngāti Uenukukopako. My Pākehā ancestry is Irish, South African, Russian (Jewish) and English.

I gained my BFA in Ceramics (2005) and my MFA in Ceramics (Distinction 2011) from the Dunedin School of Art, Otago Polytechnic, Dunedin.

Since completing my studies I have worked as a tertiary arts tutor/mentor, spent time abroad and now tutor/mentor students from my home in the Manawatu.
